Acting For Good
GET INVOLVED
I believe that we should always, always #ActForGood! After all, it’s really important that all of us pitch in to #SaveTheWorld 🌏. But, how can we do that? Here I’ve put some links on ways to help anyone and anything!
1. https://www.globalgoals.org/
This website teaches us all about the 17 Global Goals. Learning about these goals will help us make #SmallActsBigChanges! And speaking of learning, The Global Goals partnered with UNICEF to create the World’s Largest Lesson to educate kids all over the world because #KidVoice is as powerful (or maybe even more) as anyone’s! Share YOUR voice after reading https://worldslargestlesson.globalgoals.org/ ! 🗣
2. http://kids4kids.org.hk/en/buddy-reading-program
Kids4Kids truly lives up to its name. Here, kids can interact with each other by sharing their love of reading📚! If you’re shy, then this is the way to build your confidence. If you’re a bit behind on English but hate sitting down with pen and paper, then this is the way to improve your language skills. Or if you’re just wanting someone to chat and hang out with, then this is the place to go. In short, it’s a brilliant thing to do! The only thing about this is that it’s only available in HK… but there are simillar programs like these all over the world!
3. Real Acts Of Kindness Month - February
It’s actually called Random Acts of Kindness, but I prefer Real because I think that if you aren’t really being kind from your heart, and you’re faking, you’re no better than those people who are mean. This is an EXCELLENT way to promote kindness, so please, PLEASE participate in #RAKMonth, even if it’s just opening a door for someone or smiling at everyone.
4. Rainforest Action Day - September 5th https://tellsomeonewhocares.org/rad/
WARNING: RAD Day is NOT to be confused with RAK Month! #RADDay is all about saving wildlife in the rainforests. All you need to do to contribute to RAD Day is to wear GREEN and donate a small amount of money for the ORANGUTANS in Borneo!!
